Homeopathy For Health - Molluscum Contagiosum
My son is 5 years old and he has Molluscum Contagiosum on his face, 5 around eyes , 3 on nose, 4 behind ears, around 10 on both the hands. It seems they are spreading very fast. He does not complain of any itching or pain. As I beleive in complementary medicines, I want to know if you can treat them with homeopathic medicines.
Molluscum Contagiosum is a viral infection of the skin. It appears as small, pearl-shaped spots which are cream in colour. It may occur at any age but is typically found in children.
It is an infection caused by virus called poxvirus. The infection can result from direct contact while playing with other children having the infection or by indirect contact, such as sharing towels or from a swimming pool.
This is not a serious disease and may clear up within few months. In some cases, it can however last up to 1 to 2 years.
To stop the infection spreading
- Wash your hands after touching molluscum.
- Do not share towels used on the infected area.
- Avoid scratching as this may spread the infection.
Homeopathic medicines can help the molluscum to pop up and burst on its own and stop spreading.
As the medicines have no side effects, it can be tried.
Some common medicines we use are --Thuja, Nitric acid, causticum with constitutional medicnes
